Immunisations

Whether it's protecting your young child, for travelling overseas or for those over 65, the Hornsby Central Medical Centre has a range of government funded vaccinations or others available for purchase at competitive prices.

We are also accredited medical centre for Yellow Fever and Q-Fever vaccine.

Women's Health

At Hornsby Central Medical Centre, we have doctors with special interests in health issues specific to women which occur throughout the various stages of their lives. We also have doctors who are trained in Implanon® insertions.

Minor Surgery

With a dedicated procedure room, our doctors can provide a range of procedures in a safe, sterile environment ranging from hormone implants to skin excisions. Please note that some procedures will incur out of pocket expense. Our doctors will inform any out of pocket expenses in advance.

Health Assessment

Our practice likes to take a proactive approach to preventative medicine. Talk to your doctor about a check up relevant to your current stage in life.

Sexual Health

We provide a confidential and contemporary approach to all aspects of sexual health.

Travel Health

At Hornsby Central Medical Centre, we like helping patients have a safe journey with appropriate education, vaccination and helping put together relevant 'medical packs' to minimise the impact of illness on their adventures. We are also Yellow fever accredited medical practice.

Children's Health

Children grow and develop quickly, so how do you reduce the risk of, or identify and manage potential development issues. A regular check-up with your GP can help track your child's development and give you insight into potential risk factors in their lives. An annual health assessment will ideally give you a heads up on any issues that are presenting themselves and at the very least, give you some peace of mind.

Family Planning Advice & Antenatal Care

At Hornsby Central Medical Centre, we have experience in providing pre-pregnancy counselling, and a thorough antenatal shared care approach. Please contact our reception team for more information about our Antenatal Care appointments.

ECG, Blood collection

We Have on site Pathology Services (Medlab Pathology). We accept any pathology request forms.

Mental Health

Our doctors have special interest in mental health and enjoy working with patients to manage their conditions in confidential evidence based approach.

Iron Infusion

We provide Iron infusion on Wednesdays and Thursdays. The procedures may take up to 1-2 hrs. Prior to recieving an iron infusion with us, you must see one of our GPs for a consult. Gap charge applies for this service.

Men's Health

At Hornsby Central Medical Centre, we understand that men have specific health issues which can vary with different stages of life. Consultations may cover health screening, prostate checks, blood screening, blood pressure checks and sexual health checks.

Pre-employment Medical

At Hornsby Central Medical Centre we are able to provide pre-employment medicals and other medical assessments. Please note that this service is not covered by Medicare.

Worker's compensation

We are more than happy to assist you with any workers compensation claim for employees. We realise that our doctors play a key role in managing workplace injuries and assisting in full and speedy recoveries for workers.

CTP

If you were involved in motor vehicle accident, we can help you with your recovery. Our doctors and physiotherapist are here to help and assist you in anyway we can. All CTP services (apart from initial certificate) are billed to the insurer directly.

Skin Cancer Check

Every year in Australia skin cancers account for around 80% of all newly diagnosed cancers. If you are concerned or noticed any new lesions on your skin make sure it is checked by a qualified doctor.

MedLab Pathology

We Have on site Pathology Services. MedLab accepts any pathology request forms. They are open till 12pm during weekdays and 1pm on Saturday.

Physio In Mind

We have onsite physiotherapist (Physio In Mind) during weekdays.
They are equipped with the latest equipments to maximise treatment outcome.
Our physiotherapists treat muscle injuries and joint conditions such as low back pain, neck pain and joint problems.

Eatvolve

We have onsite dietitian, Lexi Jin (EatVolve) on every second Saturdays.
Lexie is multilingual. She can speak English, Korean and Mandarin.
She is Accredited Practising Dietitian, Accredited Nutritionist and Accredited sports Dietitian.
